The renter is responsible for inspecting the trailer before use and confirming that it is safe, properly connected, and road-ready before leaving. This includes checking that trailer lights, brakes, hitch connections, safety chains, tires, and signals are working properly and that the trailer is loaded and secured correctly. The renter must not operate the trailer if any equipment is damaged, missing, or not functioning as required. The renter agrees to use the trailer carefully, follow all applicable laws and rental instructions, prevent avoidable damage, and immediately report any mechanical issue, damage, loss, theft, or unsafe condition. The renter is also responsible for anything that happens while using the trailer, including any costs, damage, loss, or injury resulting from misuse, neglect, improper loading, unauthorized use, or failure to follow these responsibilities. The renter is also responsible for returning the trailer in the same condition, normal wear and tear excepted, and for any costs resulting from misuse, neglect, improper loading, unauthorized use, or failure to follow these responsibilities.
