Program Overview & Commitment
The Flourish Companion Project Apprenticeship Program is a foster-based animal care, hands-on dog training, and professional education opportunity. Selected apprentices are paired with a shelter dog placed in their home. Apprentices are responsible for the dog’s daily care, training, exercise, enrichment, transportation as outlined in program agreements, regular training updates/videos/progress reports, possible attendance at adoption/outreach/community events, possible coursework and volunteer hours. Support, resources, and guidance are provided per program policies.
