  • Who: KYCK is for anyone in years 6-12

    Where: KYCK will be held at: Katoomba Convention Centre 

    (Cliff Dr & Violet St, Katoomba).

    Cost: $250 per person

    What is KYCK?

    KYCK is a Christian Conference/Camp run by the Katoomba Christian Convention for those mainly in high school. It is expected that over 2000 youth will be attending this weekend (and that’s just for this weekend! The conference is repeated on other weekends in the holidays).

    Who is leading KYCK?

    The KYCK conference team will be running all the band, music, game, and teaching components at thedaily events. However, individual youth groups that attend are overseen by their own leaders. The MBC team leaders will be supervising our group during the day activities and evening accommodation.

     

    What types of activities do we do at KYCK?

    KYCK is full of surprise games and activities during the day. Expect lots of music, great teaching, and interactive multimedia during the sessions. We’ll also be able to do some site seeing around Katoomba during free time.

     

    What will happen after I register?

    You’ll receive a special KYCK Kit that will have all the details for drop off/pick up, what you’ll need to bring, wear, etc. Make sure you read it carefully before coming to KYCK

    • I appreciate that every care will be taken by the leaders of the youth group.
    • I give permission for my child to ride in leaders’ cars during the weekend.
    • I understand there will/may be photographs and or video footage of my child taken during this camp to promote the ministry.
    • I give permission, in the case of a medical emergency, to the doctor chosen (either by the church authorities or other persons supervising or administering the activities), to secure proper treatment for and/or order hospitalisation, injection, anaesthetic or surgery for my child as named. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me prior to instituting such procedures.

    Will be in church leaders’ cars to and back from Katoomba. Parents’ drop off and pick up of their child will be from Macquarie Baptist Church (5 Saunders Cl, Macquarie Park) at 4:45pm Friday 25th (drop off) and 4pm Sunday 27th (pick up).

    Packing List

    -  Pillow
    -  Sleeping bag or Sheets + Blanket
    -  Warm clothes (Katoomba gets cold, especially at night)
    -  A jacket or raincoat, just in case
    -  Comfortable shoes for walking around
    -  A towel
    -  Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
     -  Any medication you need, labelled with your name
    -  A water bottle
    -  A Bible if you have one
    -  A pen
    -  Spending money for free time or KYCK Hoodie (optional)

    Please don't bring anything valuable that you'd be upset to lost.
