Please ensure ALL Team Members read and complete Waiver - must be completed and submitted prior to your first practice session. All paddlers must be at least 16 years of age - participants under 18 years of age must have parental /guardian consent and will have to provide proof of age if requested. A qualified steer-person will be assigned to each team. Each team will be provided with at least one - one hour practice session, which includes dry-land orientation and on-water practice.

In consideration for receiving permission in The New Glasgow Dragon Boat Society's Race on the River 2026 festival, as well as to join the practice session and to entre the premises, waterways and grounds supervised or in any way controlled by the New Glasgow Dragon Boat Society, the Town of New Glasgow, the Riverfront Development Society, Sport Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Dragon Boat Society or Dragonboat East Management Limited, the receipt of said permission being herby acknowledged, I do hereby forever release any and all liability, discharge and agree not to sue the New Glasgow Dragon Boat Society, the Town of New Glasgow, the Riverfront Development Society, Sport Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Dragon Boat Society or Dragonboat East Management Limited and their respective directors, members, trustees, agents, representatives, officers, sponsors, licensors, servants, volunteers and employees, and agree to hold and save them Harmless and Indemnify them from and against any and all liabilities, claims, injuries, losses, damages, expenses, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever kind or nature arising out of or related to any such loss, damages, or injury, including death, etc., that may be sustained by me for whatever reason while so particiapting in the Race on the River 2026, Dragon Boat racing festival or upon the premises or grounds supervised or controlled by the foregoing organizers, whether such damages are the result of negligence or for any other reason or cause.
