CONTESTANT RULES, REQUIREMENTS, AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
The Mr. San Francisco Bear 2027 will be held in San Francisco, CA from August 13-16, 2026.
Contestants for Mr. San Francisco Bear 2026 must identify as male, be a resident of one of the 9 Bay Area counties, and be over the age of 21 before August 13th, 2026
All contestants will be required to complete the following tasks in order to be eligible to compete in the contest:
- TASK ONE:
Complete the online contest application.
- TASK TWO:
Have outfits ready for all phases of competition. Contest categories consist of the following:
- Judges Interview (Dress for the job you plan to do)
- Bar Wear/ Roar (Casual, what you wear for a night out at the bar)
- Fantasy/Fetish Wear (Whatever makes you feel sexiest, this is not a leather or rubber title, feel free to wear what best defines the sexy kind of bear you are *See NOTE below)
- Formal Wear/Speech (Dress to Impress)
- *NOTE: You may NOT expose your genitalia during the competition; however butt cheeks & crack are allowed. Yes - you MAY wear a thong or jock strap during any category, if you wish. No confetti, water, liquids, or body fluids are allowed on the stage during the contest.
- TASK THREE:
All Contestants must attend all required events. Schedule will be sent to all contestants with the application confirmation.
- TASK FOUR:
Contestants must adhere to all rules & regulations associated with the Mr. San Francisco Bear Organization.
If you are selected as Mr. San Francisco Bear 2026, you agree to represent the Bay Area and the Bear Community in a positive manner** for one (1) full year including (but not limited to) state & local Pride events, future Mr. San Francisco Bear contests, and bear/non-bear LGBTQ+ activities.
**Positive manner means no public intoxication, public drug use, sex in non-sex spaces, illegal activities, fighting, online bullying, nor any action that looks negatively upon the SF Bear title.
The winner is expected to do the following:
- Attend a minimum of one (1) community event each month with vest ;
- Host a minimum of two (2) fundraisers during their title year.one (1) for a local cause of the titleholders choosing, and one (1) for the Mr. SF Bear travel fund. For every additional Travel Fund fundraiser, there must be a corresponding fundraiser for a community organization or cause;
- Return to the Mr. San Francisco Bear 2028 Contest to assist in next year's contest;
- All winners must refrain from competing for other titles during your reigning title year with the exception of National or International Titles.
- Judges will be announced within a few months prior to the event. Be kind & courteous to all judges, and do refrain from fraternizing until the contest has ended.
By checking the box below, you agree to the following:
- I have answered all information truthfully and accurately.
- I will not hold Mr. San Francisco Bear, its officers, owners, members, show coordinators, venue, nor any other entity associated with either entity, liable for any type of injury, physical or otherwise, sustained as a result of any involvement with the organization and this event.
- I assume total responsibility for my personal actions, and will be held accountable for any negativity toward the event, the producers, or fellow contestants that is spread throughout social media and the public - regardless if I win a title, or not.
- I confirm that I will be at least 21 years of age, or older by the contest start dateI confirm that I hold no other title associated with any other entity.
- I, the contestant, also release Mr. San Francisco Bear, and its officers from any and all liability arising from the publications with my likeness. Photos will be limited and personal preferences regarding photos and usage will be abided by when promoter is notified in advance
- I acknowledge that I have read the above information and that I understand the expectations set forth.*
