An Open Stage Cabaret

Jewellery Box is an Open Stage platform for artists from any genre to test, try and present their work. Acts from all genres of performance at any stage of development are welcome to register and share art with live audience. Anything goes- from dance, circus, magic, spoken work, music, poetry, performance art, clowning and anything you can think of- The Desert Diamonds NT will work behind the scenes to have you on stage.

No, Jewellery Box is designed to be a collection of gems, supporting grass roots art in Central Australia. Your ideas remain your own and we won't ask you to adapt to suit our preferences.

You can register any act of up to 7 minutes. We will support with Stage Management, Event Management, Publicity, Photography and technical production. We'll need to know your act length, type of act, MC notes, technical needs, and have copies of music sent by 1 week prior so that we can make sure everything is set up.

That's OK! We can help with some rehearsal space, feedback if you need it, help with editing music, some costume supplies and getting MC notes organised. We'll send out an invitation to Act Lab by DDNT to be part of rehearsal and act collaboration time, and will reach out to see if you need anything else to help get you on stage
