  • A Professional Development Program for Arts Leaders & Cultural Changemakers

    About the Program:

    The Brampton Creative Leaders Summit, is a curated professional development program designed to empower Brampton-based arts leaders and local arts champions. The program supports participants in developing adaptive leadership, and strategic skills while fostering community engagement, collaboration and innovation in the arts. 

    Through expert-led workshops, a keynote address from Michael Murray, CEO of the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), and peer-to-peer learning, participants will gain practical tools for arts advocacy, a deeper understanding of how to engage and influence local government, and a strong network of like-minded creative leaders. Participants will leave with actionable strategies and a shared vision for the future of arts and culture in Brampton.

    Key program dates are:

    • September 17, 2026, 12-1:30: Cohort Meet and Greet Session, BAO Office
    • October 22, 2026, 9:30am – 5pm: Summit Day 1 (401 Richmond Street, West in downtown Toronto)
    • October 23, 2026, 10:30am – 6pm: Summit Day 2 (Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Downtown Brampton)
    • November 5, 2026, 12pm-1pm: Post-Summit Debrief Session (Virtual)
