2026 Brampton Creative Leaders Summit Expression of Interest
A Professional Development Program for Arts Leaders & Cultural Changemakers

About the Program:

The Brampton Creative Leaders Summit, is a curated professional development program designed to empower Brampton-based arts leaders and local arts champions. The program supports participants in developing adaptive leadership, and strategic skills while fostering community engagement, collaboration and innovation in the arts.

Through expert-led workshops, a keynote address from Michael Murray, CEO of the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), and peer-to-peer learning, participants will gain practical tools for arts advocacy, a deeper understanding of how to engage and influence local government, and a strong network of like-minded creative leaders. Participants will leave with actionable strategies and a shared vision for the future of arts and culture in Brampton.

Key program dates are:
- September 17, 2026, 12-1:30: Cohort Meet and Greet Session, BAO Office
- October 22, 2026, 9:30am – 5pm: Summit Day 1 (401 Richmond Street, West in downtown Toronto)
- October 23, 2026, 10:30am – 6pm: Summit Day 2 (Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Downtown Brampton)
- November 5, 2026, 12pm-1pm: Post-Summit Debrief Session (Virtual)

Evaluation: Throughout the delivery of this program and beyond, participants will be asked to complete feedback surveys, provide testimonials, and participate in conversations about their experiences in the program. Participants may be invited to be part of some or all of these surveys and interviews in order to evaluate the overall eﬀectiveness of the program.
Media & Marketing Release: Please note that the program partners may wish to take photos or screenshots during sessions for promotional and reporting purposes. Additionally, Brampton Arts Organization and Work in Culture's marketing staﬀ will feature the names and headshots of program participants (mentees) and mentors on our program page on the WIC website and as a part of our social media campaigns in order to boost mentees’ and mentors’ proﬁles and also promote the program. By participating in this programming you agree to have your name and likeness shared for these purposes.
