As the sun sets, Festival Square transforms into a lively marketplace, filled with visitors eager to discover unique, locally made products and support homegrown businesses.

    Note: Food trucks must purchase space according to the total length of their vehicle and complete setup footprint. Power and water are not included.

  • Participation Requirements

  • To ensure a safe, high-quality experience for all participants, vendors are expected to meet the following requirements:

    • All vendors must provide proof of insurance listing Excite Lethbridge and Downtown Lethbridge BRZ as additional insured — no exceptions.
    • All food preparation and service must comply with Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations.
    • Food vendors must provide valid insurance, required food handling permits, and a current AHS decal if applicable.
    • Vendors are responsible for supplying any additional equipment not included in their booth package, including displays, lighting, extension cords, tents, and signage.
    • Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
  • Payment Details

  • To secure your participation, vendors must adhere to the following payment and confirmation requirements:

    • Vendors are required to pay their booth fees within five (5) business days of receiving their invoice.
    • Vendors who do not complete full payment by the specified deadline will forfeit their booth space and will not be permitted to participate.

    Please note: Do not send any deposits or payments until you have received official approval and an invoice from Market Management (issued via Square).

  • Scam Alert – Protect Yourself

  • Market season often sees an increase in scam activity targeting vendors. Please be aware of the following to protect yourself:

    • Excite Lethbridge will only communicate using an official @excitelethbridge.ca email address. We will NEVER contact you from a Gmail or other personal email account.
    • We will never request payment without first issuing an official invoice.
    • All invoices and payments are processed securely through Square.
    • Do not send deposits or payments to anyone claiming to represent the Night Market unless you have received official approval and a Square invoice from Excite Lethbridge.

    If you are ever unsure about a communication or payment request, please contact Excite Lethbridge directly at 403.328.4491 before taking action.

  • Refund Policy

  • To ensure fairness and allow adequate planning for the event, the following refund policy applies to all vendors.

    Eligibility for Refunds

    • Vendors who withdraw on or before July 30, 2026 are eligible for a full refund.
    • Refunds will not be issued for withdrawals received after July 30, 2026.

    Requesting a Refund

    • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to market management.

    • Requests must be received no later than July 30, 2026.

    • Each request must include the vendor’s full name, contact information and reason for withdrawal.

    Processing Refunds

    • Excite Lethbridge will review all refund requests within five (5) business days of receipt.

  • Booth Requirements

  • Which date are you applying for?
  • Are you applying as a food and beverage vendor?

  • Do you require (1) extra 8' table for an extra charge of $10 per market?
  • Booth Assignment Policy

    To ensure a well-balanced and successful market layout, the following booth assignment policy applies:

    • Requests for specific booth locations will not be accepted or responded to.

    • All booth assignments are made solely at the discretion of Market Management.

    • Booths are assigned to support the best overall market layout, customer flow, and vendor mix.

    • Vendors must operate within their assigned booth space. Vendors not assigned a corner booth are expected to adjust their setup accordingly.

    • Booth placement is not guaranteed from year to year. Returning vendors may be assigned a different location at the discretion of Market Management.

    • Booth assignments are final. Attempts to negotiate or request changes will not be considered.

  • Proof of Insurance - Mandatory for all Vendors

  • Excite Lethbridge, its officers, and its agents will not be held responsible or liable for any manner of loss or damage that may occur to property or persons during times of move-in, event, and move-out. Vendors are responsible for all their materials and should always take adequate security measures.

    All vendors must provide proof of insurance (“Certificate of Insurance”) as evidence that insurance is maintained for their booth, including comprehensive general liability and property damage with a minimum limit of $2,000,000.

    The Certificate of Insurance must list Excite Lethbridge & Downtown Lethbridge BRZ as an additional insured.

    Deadline for insurance submission: August 3, 2026.

  • Documentation Required for Food & Beverage Vendors

  • All food and beverage vendors must comply with applicable Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations.

    Preparing raw meat, heating, portioning, or serving perishable food on-site within a booth space is strictly prohibited, unless the vendor is operating from a licensed food truck.

    Vendors may:

    • Sell pre-packaged food and beverage products
    • Offer pre-portioned, non-perishable dry foods, including samples

    Vendors providing samples must have:

    • Hand sanitizer available at their booth and
    • Access to a handwashing sink (either within their booth or nearby)


    Additional Requirements

    All food and beverage vendors must agree to the following:

    • AHS inspectors may be on-site conducting inspections. Vendors who fail to comply with regulations may be shut down by AHS or Market Management.
    • No refunds will be issued to vendors who are closed due to non-compliance.
    • All food and beverage vendors must provide Market Management with:
      • A valid Food Handling Permit, or
      • An AHS Special Event Vendor Notification
    • Proof of insurance and all required documentation must be submitted by August 3, 2026.
      • Vendors who fail to meet this deadline will forfeit their space.

    I understand and agree that AHS may conduct on‑site inspections at any time without prior notice, and that AHS has the authority to shut down any food vendor found non‑compliant with health regulations; I acknowledge that vendors shut down by AHS will not receive a refund.

  • General

    • Vendors may not tear down before the Market has officially closed. If you sell out, notify Market Management and display a professional “Sold Out” sign
    • Vendors who arrive late, leave early without notice, or miss scheduled markets may have their booth placement re‑evaluated at the discretion of Market Management
    • Sub‑letting or sharing booth space is strictly prohibited. Each business must complete its own application
    • All sales and promotional activity must take place within the assigned booth space
    • Lotteries and 50/50 raffles are not permitted. No‑purchase‑necessary draws are allowed but must occur entirely within the booth space
    • Price undercutting is prohibited. Prices must be clearly displayed—either individually on products or on professionally printed signage
    • Promotion of religion or politics is not permitted
    • Vendors are not granted exclusive rights to any product category; however, efforts will be made to avoid oversaturation
    • Excite Lethbridge reserves the right to refuse vendor space and to update Market regulations at any time
    • Booth assignments are determined solely by Market Management. Requests for specific booth locations will not be accepted or considered
  • Vendor Expectations

    • Aggressive, abusive, or threatening behavior toward Excite Lethbridge staff, volunteers, security, customers, or other vendors will not be tolerated. Market Management reserves the right to remove any vendor who violates this expectation.
    • Respectful communication is required at all times.
  • Application Submission

    This entry is subject and bound to all Night Market Terms & Conditions. The applicant, having read the application understands they form part of this contract, as entered into with Excite Lethbridge.
