    Using the Interpersonal Theory
of Suicide in Practice - Clinical Training by Dr. James Geisler

This training will introduce mental health counselors to the interpersonal theory
developed by Dr. Thomas Joiner, an empirically supported theory that fills the current gap in the field of behavioral health; answering the question, "Why do people die by suicide?". This training will provide participants with a detailed overview of the necessary pillars of this theory, the research that supports it, while also providing participants the necessary assessment and intervention skills when working with clients who endorse suicidal ideation and behaviors.
