    Please review the five activity options below and select the one that best fits your interests and abilities. 

    Event Timeline

    10:00am  Activities begin at or near Copper Mountain, led by local nonprofit partners

    11:30am  Activities conclude; travel to Sauce on Copper (~15–30 min)

    12:00pm  Lunch reception at Sauce on Copper, Frisco

    2:00pm  Event concludes

    All activities will take place on or near Copper Mountain. Space in each activity is limited - register early!

  • Friends of CAIC - Hike an Avalanche Path

    Participants will hike near or through a known avalanche path (snow-free, safe conditions) with a CAIC Forecaster or Copper Ski Patroller. Learn about avalanche terrain, dangers, how to read slide paths, terrain choices, and safe decision-making in the backcountry. This activity requires a moderate level of fitness and experience. No additional equipment is necessary for this activity, but hiking clothing and shoes are recommended.
  • Team Summit Colorado - MTB Skills Clinic

    MTB Skills clinic run by USA Cycling Certified coaches who will guide participants through fundamentals of MTB riding, including bike setup, proper position, and pedaling techniques, moving through terrain, climbing, and descending. This activity requires a moderate level of fitness and experience. Mountain Bikes will not be provided for this activity, so please bring your own.
  • Keystone Science School - Water and Life Science Exploration

    Participants will join Keystone Science School educators for a guided exploration of a local Summit County stream and watershed. Through hands-on water quality testing, aquatic macroinvertebrate collection, and geology exploration, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the natural systems that shape our mountain environment. This activity requires a light level of fitness and experience. No additional equipment is necessary for this activity, but hiking clothing and shoes are recommended.
  • Building Hope Summit County - Sound Healing

    Participants will be guided through a sound bath experience led by sound healer Mariana Diaz. Through immersive sound vibration, participants will support nervous system regulation, improve blood flow, and enter a state of deep relaxation, bringing the body back into balance and releasing patterns that no longer serve us. This activity is accessible to all fitness levels and experience. Additional equipment required is a yoga mat or blanket and comfortable clothing.
  • Friends of the Dillon Ranger District - Guided Nature Walk

    Participants will join FDRD for a guided nature walk at Copper Mountain, with optional lift access to take in summit views. Along the way, FDRD educators will cover a range of environmental topics, including trees and forests that define our local mountain landscape, local watersheds and water systems, native plant life, and the rich history of the land beneath your feet. This activity requires a moderate level of fitness and experience, with one steeper section of the trail to reach an overlook. No additional equipment is necessary for this activity, but hiking clothing and shoes are recommended.
