Expression of Interest - Hear Me Out Brisbane

Want to build confidence, communication skills & have fun? Have you heard about DSIDQ’s program, Hear Me Out? We have delivered 4-6 week programs in Brisbane, workshops in the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Townsville, and a teen workshop. Hear Me Out: Finding Your Voice Through Debate is a free program from Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability Queensland, designed for adults 17+ with intellectual disability. Through fun and supportive debate activities, you’ll build confidence, strengthen communication, and grow your critical thinking skills — all while developing your voice and sharing your ideas. The program was co-designed with people with intellectual disability, making it accessible, relevant, and engaging. You’ll take part in group games, partner activities, and interactive challenges, all supported by DSIDQ staff. When: 6 Week Course, 20 October - 24 November, 9am-3pm 2026 Where: DSIDQ Office, 77 Kitchener Road, Ascot 4007. Important: The program will only run if enough people register.
