    Hosted by the Nevada Women’s Fund, Power of the Purse is a vibrant and festive event bringing together nearly 1,000 guests in celebration of community, empowerment, and opportunity. Enjoy an unforgettable evening featuring shopping from local vendors, delicious food and drinks, and our signature high-end purse raffle.

    All proceeds benefit the Nevada Women’s Fund and support our mission to empower women to achieve their full potential through education and career advancement.

    Event details for this year are below:

    Event Date: Friday, November 20, 2026

    Time:   VIP Hour 5-6 pm

                General Admission 6-9 PM

    Location: Reno-Sparks Convention Center Ballroom, 4590 S. Virginia St. Reno, NV 89502

    Please note we will be in a new location this year.  The layout will change but we will do our utmost to honor all vendor requests.

    Booth options:
    Available booth size choices will be on a first come, first serve basis
    1 – 30 ft. x 10 ft. booths

    Meals will be available as usual for an additional fee.

    Applications must be submitted by September 11. Selection notifications will be emailed by September 18.

                • Vendor Guidelines

                  When the agreement has been accepted the vendor agrees to:

                  • Take home 100% of revenue.
                  • Participate in the entirety of the event.
                  • Load-in all merchandise between specified hours (load-in schedule will be determined in advance). (NWF will NOT assist with load-out, please plan to self-load out all merchandise.)
                  • Provide enough merchandise to meet public demand throughout the event. (Keep in mind that we typically have about 1000 attendees.)
                  • Arrange space to not interfere or obstruct the pathways. The room will be inspected to ensure fire code safety.
                  • Maintain the assigned space in a clean and orderly fashion.
                  • The vendor must make arrangements to have someone in the booth for the entirety of the event (5:00 pm-9:00 pm) and may not end sales before the conclusion of the event.
                  • Be responsible for all monetary and customer transactions.
                    Load-out all material and merchandise no earlier than 9:00 pm and complete by 11:00 pm.
                  • The vendor is responsible for filing and paying Nevada sales tax for the Nevada Department of Taxation (Phone:  866-962-3707).  Nevada Women’s Fund members will be collecting completed tax forms on the night of the event. Checks and cash are accepted.
                  • Abide by all local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and statutes.
                    The risk of loss, damage, and theft of vendor’s merchandise shall be borne by the vendor and each vendor shall be solely responsible to obtain insurance against such loss.
                  • OBTAIN REQUIRED WASHOE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT PERMIT for any food samples. Contact WCHD directly for a permit (Phone: 775-328-2400).  Applications must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event to avoid a 200% late fee - NO applications will be accepted under 3 days prior to event.  Proof of health permit must be supplied to Nevada Women's Fund.
                  • NWF will promote the event through all media channels; however, vendors are also asked to promote the event with their customers through their communication channels.
                  • Vendors who do not follow event guidelines will not be invited to future events.
                  • Vendor notifications and invoices will be sent on September 18th.  Invoices must be paid by October 2nd or your vendor spot will given to another vendor.
