• Cat Fostering Application

Please complete this form so we have a better understanding of your home and in order to best match cats and kittens that require fostering.
  • Thank you for considering becoming a foster carer. It can be an incredibly rewarding experience being part of an animal's journey through rescue and we are hugely grateful for your support.

It is preferable you have a spare room or separate area, especially if you have other cats or dogs. This is essential to foster a pregnant mum or litter of kittens. Bathrooms are not suitable spaces.

Foster carers may be required to take a foster cat to a designated veterinary practice but where possible we will arrange taking them. However, I do ask for foster carers to come to me in Bramley (RG26) to collect the cat and any supplies needed as I run the rescue on my own. Cats may need vet visits and so it is helpful if foster carers can take them to my vets or if not possible, they would need to be brought to me. My vets is in Chobham.

You will also need to be happy for potential adopters to visit the cat at your home. This is only done when applicants have gone through the adoption process and are a match for the cat/cats.

There is no set time limit for fostering but generally kittens and young cats will be rehomed fairly quickly. All cats are only rehomed after being neutered and vaccinations started so are at least 10 weeks old before rehoming. I also allow them some time to settle into a foster home. If you have holidays planned, we need sufficient notice to move the cat to a new foster home. If you travel a lot, fostering may be a bit difficult but we can try and place short term cats. I generally cannot pay for pet sitting if you are away.

I can provide food, litter and anything else you would need to look after the cats. I just ask that you love them, spend time with them, keep me updated on their progress and of course flag any concerns.
