  • • Respect for Others: Treat everyone with dignity, avoid offensive behavior, and respect local cultures and social media privacy. • Safeguarding and Human Rights: Protect all individuals, especially vulnerable people, from abuse and exploitation; sexual activity with minors or community members is strictly prohibited. • Site Safety: Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions. • Zero Tolerance for Substances and Weapons: No drugs, alcohol, or weapons allowed on volunteer sites. • Gift Giving: Avoid direct gift exchanges without staff consultation to prevent misunderstandings. • Asset Protection: Safeguard Habitat’s resources and avoid theft or fraud. • Confidentiality: Maintain privacy of sensitive information. • Reporting Misconduct: Report any violations to staff or use the confidential ethics line. • This code promotes a safe, respectful, and accountable volunteer environment.
