Maryland Parents - Looking for a fun, educational, and hands-on summer experience for your child?
The 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C. and Archaeology in the Community invite Maryland students ages 8-14 to participate in Archaeology in the Summer, a FREE of charge two-part educational series that brings history, science, technology, and discovery to life.
Students will:
• Solve an ancient Egyptian mystery
• Explore laser scanning and 3D modeling technology
• Analyze artifacts like real archaeologists
• Learn ancient games from around the world
• Decode historical messages and hidden clues
• Build teamwork and critical thinking skills
June 23 - What Does an Archaeologist Do?
June 30 - Recreating the Past with Archaeology
