The Government of Belize invites the public to participate in the creation of a national slogan and logo for the new Belize National ID System. This competition seeks creative contributions that reflect Belize’s vision for a secure, modern, and unified digital future.

Entries must reflect the following overarching themes:

- National Unity & Participation: Emphasize inclusivity, citizen involvement, and a shared national identity.
- Security & Trust: Highlight safety, privacy, and confidence in a secure identification system.
- Country Growth & Modernization: Reflect economic development, public sector transformation, and national progress.
- Digital Advancement: Illustrate Belize’s transition into digital governance, innovation, and improved public services.
- A Better Belize for the Future: Convey hope, empowerment, and opportunities for future generations.
Eligibility
- Open to Belizean citizens of all ages.
- Individual and group submissions are allowed.
- Public officers directly involved in the National ID project are not eligible to participate.
- Each participant may submit up to two entries per category (slogan and logo).
SUBMISSION FORMAT FOR LOGO
All logo submission:
- Must be original and created by the participant.
- Accepted file formats: PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF.
- Minimum resolution: 1080×1080 px.
- Design must work in black & white and in color.
- Should visually incorporate concepts of:
-National pride
-Security and trust
-Digital transformation
-Growth and forward movement
-Inclusivity and community

SUBMISSION FORMAT FOR Slogan
All slogan submission must include a short, memorable phrase (maximum 10 words) that expresses the values and aspirations of the National ID.

- Maximum 10 words.
- Must be original, easy to remember, and in English, Kriol, or Spanish.
- Should incorporate one or more inspiration themes: unity, security, digital progress, growth, or a better future.
- Must not contain offensive, political, or discriminatory language.

Security & Authenticity Standards
All submissions must:
- Respect the seriousness of a national security- related symbol.
- Avoid designs that could be misinterpreted as political endorsements, governmental seals, or institutional emblems.
- Include a short explanation (100-150 words) describing:
-The symbolism used
-How the design promotes trust and safety
-How it represents Belize’s digital future
Awards & Recognition
- Winner(s) will receive a national recognition certificate, price(s), and public acknowledgment during the launch of the Belize National ID.
- Winning designs become the property of the Government of Belize, with full rights for usage across all National ID branding and communication materials.
Terms & Conditions
- All submissions must be original and created solely by the participant.
- By entering, participants grant the Government of Belize the exclusive rights to reproduce, modify, or publish the winning designs.
- Judges’ decisions are final.
- Submissions that violate rules will be disqualified.
