Welcome, brother. We are so glad you will be joining us for Roots of Belonging on Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Washington, DC.

This is a sacred retreat for healing and leadership retreat created for Black men by SONS OF SPIRIT.

You will find essential details below. Once you are registered, additional information will be provided to you.

Date: August 29, 2026

Time: 9am-5pm EST

Location: The Festival Center, 1640 Columbia Road NW Washington D.C. 20009

Audience: All Black men

Meals: Lunch and snacks will be provided

Cost: Choose Your Rate ($95, $195, or $395)

Refund Policy: Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the retreat, minus a $15 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the event. However, your registration may be transferred to another participant.

I hereby irrevocably authorize SONS OF SPIRIT and SONS OF SPIRIT LLC to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos/videos for any lawful purpose. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. I hereby release and discharge SONS OF SPIRIT and SONS OF SPIRIT LLC from any and all claims arising out of the use of the photographs/videos.

We Gon’ Be Alright (Access Rate)

This rate is to reduce financial barriers to this space. If paying a higher rate would prevent you from attending, we invite you to choose this option.

We Good Over Here (Standard Rate)

This rate ensures we at least break even. It covers the cost of materials, venue, food, and travel for the facilitator, but does not pay the facilitator.

We Got Blessings on Blessings (Sustainability Rate)

This rate pays our Black trans facilitator, Jamari, ensuring he is properly compensated for his time, energy, and labor. It also supports our Access Rate and makes this space more accessible to our brothers facing financial hardship.
