By accepting the invitation to join the moderation team, you hereby agree to the following terms and standards of conduct. This agreement ensures a healthy environment for our community and a cohesive dynamic within the leadership team. 1. At-Will Moderation Moderation is a voluntary position, not a right. You acknowledge that you may be removed from the moderation team at any time, for any reason, at the sole discretion of the Top Moderator (Lead Admin). This ensures the sub can pivot or change leadership styles as needed to maintain community health. 2. Adherence to Reddit Content Policy You agree to strictly follow and enforce the Reddit Moderator Code of Conduct and Reddit’s Sitewide Rules. This includes, but is not limited to: Removing prohibited content (harassment, illegal acts, doxxing). Respecting the "Moderator Transparency" guidelines. Interacting with Reddit Admins in a professional manner. 3. Anti-"Power Trip" & Ethics Policy Authority must be used to serve the community, not the moderator's ego. Freedom of Speech: Users should be allowed to express opinions, even those that are unpopular or critical of the moderation team, provided they do not violate the sub’s specific rules or Reddit’s TOS. Balance of Rights: Moderators must strike a balance between allowing open dialogue and protecting the personal rights and safety of others. Fairness: Punishments (bans/mutes) must be proportional to the offense. Personal vendettas or "power tripping" are grounds for immediate removal. 4. Professionalism & Neutrality Moderators are expected to remain objective. When acting as a moderator (distinguishing posts/comments), you represent the subreddit, not your personal opinions. You agree to moderate the community according to its specific rules rather than your personal preferences. Acknowledgment: Acceptance of the moderation invite and any subsequent actions taken using the moderation toolkit constitute your formal agreement to these terms. Failure to uphold these standards will result in a review of your status and potential removal from the team.
