  • Please read the instructions carefully and note that you must complete each of the required sections in order to be considered. The information requested enables the IAEE DC Chapter Nominating Committee to conduct a thorough review of the qualifications for each candidate and make the final selection. Submit this application and attachments online by 5 pm ET on Monday, August 31, 2026.

  • Chapter Open Board Positions

  • Executive Committee: These positions are ONLY AVAILABLE to those currently serving on the Board of Directors (or experience on boards of similar organizations).

    • Chapter Vice Chair (1-year term): Serves as direct support to the chapter chair, and in their absence, performs their duties.
    • Secretary (2-year term): Serve as an active member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee by attending meetings and events, contributing agenda items, and supporting board-approved policies and programs. Ensure continuity through a transition with your successor and carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by board leadership.
  • Elected Directors:

    • Director of Marketing (2-year term): Oversee all chapter communications in alignment with IAEE branding, including marketing, publications, advertising, public relations, and outreach efforts across events, membership, advocacy, and community initiatives. Promote the chapter's work at the international level, support communications for advocacy and philanthropy, and stay informed on industry trends to share insights with the Board.
    • Director of Community Service (2-year term): Lead the chapter's community service program by identifying and recommending charitable partnerships, organizing initiatives, and encouraging member participation and volunteerism. Promote outreach efforts, support fundraising activities in coordination with the treasurer, and share program updates with IAEE headquarters for broader visibility.
    • Director at Large (1-year term): Serves as a general representative on the board of directors. Assists with various projects and initiatives as needed. This role is essential for bringing diverse perspectives to the table.
