Senses in Motion: Calming, Growing and Learning Together
Date: May 7, 2027
Time: Training is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM (EST)
Location: Webinar
Presenter: Liz Powers
Description: Senses in Motion: Calming, Learning, and Growing Together invites early childhood professionals to a warm, engaging, practical conversation about all things sensory. We’ll explore brain development and how it shapes children’s ability to self-regulate, then connect that knowledge to practical sensory materials and activities you can use right away. You’ll leave with supportive strategies to help children manage big feelings, redirect challenging behaviors—including acting out through hurting—and build calmer, more connected learning environments through sensory play. We will explore the 7, yes 7, senses and their importance in children's development. You'll leave with new strategies that are easy and inexpensive (free!) to implement as soon as you return to your classroom!
