National Events Committee Applications

Modern Pentathlon Australia (MPA) is inviting applications for the National Events Committee.

The Competition & Events Committee oversees and co-ordinates the planning, delivery, sanctioning, and evaluation of MPA competitions and events. The focus of this volunteer committee is to ensure events align with international standards and local rules, while delivering a safe, high-quality, and positive participant experience.

Key committee responsibilities include:
1. establishing the domestic competition calendar (within strategic parameters set by the Board and in co-ordination with the States) to support athlete pathways from grassroots to elite levels;
2. preparing event budgets and ticketing strategy;
3. managing asset and equipment logistics and facility bookings;
4. maintaining event delivery and safety standards;
5. recommending local rules and technical requirements;
6. maintaining branding and sport presentation;
7. event communications;
8. supporting and managing volunteers;
9. reviewing event outcomes for continuous improvement;
10. contributing to sponsorship and commercial opportunities that support event delivery.
Applicants should have experience or interest in event management, competition design, safety and risk management, officiating, or sport presentation, with marketing or sponsorship experience considered an advantage.

The Committee will be chaired by a member of MPA staff.
