All band members under the age of 18 must provide written consent to enter by a parent / guardian.

THERE WILL BE ONLY 1 WINNER.

Bands must acknowledge and accept the following to participate:

• All performers must be aged 16+ by the first heat date. (YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THIS IS FOUND TO BE UNTRUE). (BRING ID / PHOTO OF PASSPORT ETC IF YOU LOOK YOUNG)
• Under 18's will need to provide written consent from a parent/guardian.

• Previous winning bands are not permitted to enter. Members of previous winning bands who have started a new project are able to apply. You may apply if you have entered previously if you didn't already win.

• Once we close applications, we will let you know via e-mail if your application has been successful. We do tend to get a lot of applicants, and only have 20 spaces available. So please understand that not every applicant will be succesful, but if you are not, we will add you to the reserve list and contact you if anybody drops out of the competition.

• Every member of the band is expected to be present for the dates / times detailed below. Please do not apply if you are not available for at least one heat date, both semi-finals, and the final!

  (IF YOU ARE NOT HERE ON TIME YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR CHANCE TO DRAW YOUR STAGE TIME, AND WILL BE GIVEN THE OPENING SLOT AUTOMATICALLY. IF MORE THAN ONE BAND CANNOT BE THERE ON TIME THE FIRST 2 SLOTS WILL BE DRAWN AT RANDOM BETWEEN THEM FOR WHO GOES FIRST / SECOND. EACH BAND WILL BE ISSUED A SOUNDCHECK SLOT AT LOAD IN, IF YOU MISS THIS YOU WON’T GET A SOUNDCHECK. THEM’S THE RULES!)

• All rounds will be judge by a combination of audience and judge's votes. If you'd like to discuss the maths... Steph can talk you through it! But trust us... this is the fairest way we've found to do it so everyone has a chance of winning... we're not running a who's got the most friends contest.

• You must have a 30 minute set prepared, and be up for the challenge of including a cover chosen for you by the venue. You only have to include the cover in the heats, if you make it through to the semi-finals/final you can choose to drop it, keep it, or replace it with a cover of your choice. Max 1 cover may be present in the set. (YOU WILL BE GIVEN AN ARTIST, AND BE ASKED TO CHOOSE A SONG FROM THEIR BACK CATALOGUE. YOU MAY NOT CHOOSE A COVER THIS ARTIST HAS DONE, IT MUST BE AN ORIGINAL TRACK BY THE ARTIST. BANDS MAY NOT SWAP ARTISTS BETWEEN THEM. THE WHOLE POINT IS THAT IT IS A CHALLENGE.)

• Your fan base is a reflection of you as a performer, so please remind family and friends of the behaviour expectations upon them, (as they are on you).We will not tolerate abuse of staff / performers or other audience members, damage to the venue, underage drinking, or general douchebaggery. We reserve the right to remove your band from the competition if your behaviour or that of your friends/family are deemed to bes unreasonable / abusive.
