Tender 2026
Support for Ukrainian organic farms in need
The Foundation on Future Farming is a non-profit organisation based in Germany that supports projects to strengthen organic farming. Since March 2022, we have been supporting organic farms in Ukraine that are in need due to the war. This funding programme was only made possible thanks to the many donors.
We invite certified organic farms in Ukraine that are in need of support to submit applications once again.
Requirements to receive support:
- Form of business: The applicant is a certified organic farm, an organic beekeeping business or an organic wild collection business and is based in Ukraine. As a result of the war, the organic farm is in an economic emergency that requires urgent financial support.
- Organic certification: The farm holds valid EU and/or UA organic certificates.
- Maximum size of applicant’s farm:
1. Agricultural land max. 500 ha
2. Berry farm maximum 10 ha
Please note: We do not support processing companies.
Funded activities and areas:
The Foundation on Future Farming supports the following five priority areas. In exceptional cases, other needs relating to the organic farm may also be considered (e.g. seeds, machine repairs).
1. Estimated certification costs 2027 (EU or UA organic certification)
2. Energy security (e.g., renewable energy sources, backup power systems)
3. Water Supply and Irrigation (e.g., water storage tanks/cisterns, well drilling or repair, emergency water pumps for livestock, rainwater harvesting systems, repair of war-damaged infrastructure,)
4. Social Responsibility and Engagement (e.g. community food distribution programs for vulnerable groups, employment initiatives for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and veterans, partnerships with local schools, NGOs, or veteran organizations)
5. Consulting services (e.g., business or technical advisory – a contingency can be redeemed with an approved consultant by the Foundation on Future Farming for business or technical advisory for organic agriculture and berries)
The maximum grant amount is 10,000 EUR (≈ 515,000 UAH, stand: 24/09/2026) per applicant. We reserve the right to award grants for partial amounts of the sum applied for.
