Holistic Repro Project empowers people with innovative and justice-oriented reproductive education, rooted in evidence and community-based practices. Right now, Holistic Repro Project and partners are curating a collection of abortion stories that continue to shine a light into the many ways people have, support, and provide abortions outside of the clinic. We are telling the stories of our lives to build towards a future rooted in community power and autonomy where every person can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and has access to a plethora of choices, methods and models for their pregnancies, abortions, and fertility without stigmatization or criminalization.

This is a new, deeply collaborative and creative project centering the stories of abortions that go beyond the clinic, beyond the silence and stigma. Stories that hold our hand as we continue to practice deep care, rooted in values of collective autonomy and justice.

If you want to work with Holistic in sharing your story as part of an anthology alongside others sharing the vision and values of robust, destigmatized, supported abortion, consider submitting. Entries that are selected will receive editorial support and modest financial compensation.

“The power of storytelling is exactly this: to bridge the gaps where everything else has crumbled.” - Paulo Coelho

Many people approach their health through unique combinations of allopathic, traditional, cultural and intuitive approaches. In particular, marginalized people are often reaching for any and all of the tools available within their community. These untold stories of connections and care hold the power to transform and necessarily complexify the stories we most hear about abortion.  If you hold one or a multitude of marginalized identities we encourage you to apply.
