Applications open Monday 15th June and Close Friday 17th July 2026

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
You will need a copy of your reference from your sport/community leader to upload to be able to complete this application, and your most recent school report.

Please treat this form like you are applying for a job, go into as much detail as you can and take the time to sell yourself as someone who can positively contribute to our academy.

It is recommended you draft a full application in Microsoft Word (or similar) and copy the answers into the relevant section in the form.

Submitting this application does not guarantee a position in the Basketball or Cricket Academy. Your application will be processed and you will be contacted of your status in early Term 3.

Applying for the Basketball Academy

Consider this a formal section of the application, (similar to applying for further education and/or employment). Provide as much detail regarding your football background, key skills and attributes as possible.
Detail your Basketball experience and/or achievements, including involvement and performance at a local club level, as well as any representative team honours.
Write about any other Sporting Experience/Achievements outside of Basketball.
Explain in your own words why you would like to be considered for the Basketball Academy at Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College, and how your inclusion will positively contribute to the success of this program (please write at least one paragraph).
How have you demonstrated the Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College value of ACHIEVEMENT at school and in the community? This may include external clubs/groups you belong to, or roles you have been involved in at the college.

Detail your cricket skill-set (i.e. batter, bowler, all-rounder, wicket-keeper), experience and achievements, including involvement and performance at a local club level, as well as any representative team honours.
Write about any other Sporting Experience/Achievements outside of cricket.
Explain in your own words why you would like to be considered for the Cricket Academy at Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College, and how your inclusion will positively contribute to the success of this program (please write at least one paragraph).
