• Democracy Summit - 10.06.2026 Registration Request

    The Democracy Summit, hosted by the Center for Journalism & Democracy, is a day of learning and engagement where journalists convene together to dialogue with democracy, electoral and history experts and come away with a charge to move the profession's mandate from one of "balance" and "neutrality" in favor of historically-informed, pro-democracy journalism.

  • ELIGIBILITY

    We welcome registration from:

    • Professional and student journalists 
    • Freelance and citizen journalists 
    • University journalism faculty 
    • Media and policy experts with an institutional affiliation (ex. university, research institute, media organization, etc.)
    • Advocacy organizations with a focus on combating mis/disinformation, racial and social justice, and pro-democracy journalism

    Deadline to submit a registration request: Tuesday, Sept. 22nd. 

     

    Travel Scholarships: 

    The Center for Journalism & Democracy is offering full travel & lodging support to a limited number of journalists from Black-owned, ethnic-owned and rural or small market media outlets. If you are eligible, please submit your registration request by Tuesday, Sept. 8th.
