Cast Application - WISE SAM GANGEES

Who we are looking for

We are looking for four genuine LOTR/Tolkien fans to play supporting roles alongside Gamling (Bruce Hopkins). It is important to us to cast from the global fan community irrespective of gender, race or nationality.

Whether you are a seasoned cosplayer with a screen-accurate armor set, or simply someone whose life was profoundly shaped by Tolkien’s themes of fellowship and hope - we want to see who you are.

Do not worry about trying to fit into a rigid character mold. We are looking for genuine souls to stand alongside a legend of Rohan. Show us your personality, your unique background, and the spark that connects you to this timeless lore.

How to apply

The Video: Send us a short video (under 2 minutes) introducing yourself, telling us where in the world you are from, and sharing your ultimate, absolute favorite Tolkien moment or fact.

The Fit: Show us the kind of character you see yourself playing in this world by recording your audition using the script attached.

International travel allowance

Though these roles are unpaid, we will provide a travel reimbursement of up to NZD $3,000 per person to assist with transport to and from Queenstown. In addition, we will cover all accommodation, meals, and local transport during the production period in New Zealand (29 October – 4 November 2026).
