I alone have designed and created the art entered in the show. My art has been created in the last five years and not previously shown at OAS.
I understand that although Chaffee Arts provides a relatively safe hanging area for artwork, any loss or damage to the work is not the responsibility of the Chaffee County Council on the Arts. Additional Insurance is the responsibility of the Artist.
My artwork will be delivered to the BV Heritage Museum on August 19th, 12:00-5:00pm.
My work will be hung by the Council representatives unless previously arranged. Any work requiring unusual or alternative hanging instructions needs to submit a plan when the work is accepted and coordinate with the Council representatives ahead of time. If walls are unduly damaged the Art Show may ask for reimbursement. All work must be completely dry. No wet work will be accepted. The display of the artwork is not the responsibility of Chaffee Arts if faulty or breaks. Non-compliant pieces will not be accepted and must be fixed and brought back by the drop-off deadline.
I agree that Chaffee Arts and the BV Heritage Museum will handle all sales and taxes and will charge me a 20% commission. If I sell an art piece at the Open Awards Show I will leave it displayed until the end of the show which is August 23rd at 4 pm. I agree that it is my responsibility to deliver sold art to the purchaser. I understand that if the art is to be shipped the cost for shipping will be paid by the purchaser and I will ship the art after pick up from the show.
I will not remove my artwork from the Heritage Museum before 10am on August 24th. I understand that Chaffee Arts is not responsible for my work if I do not pick it up by the deadline. Art pick up is August 24th 10am- 2pm.
I authorize the use of my artwork images and descriptions for marketing purposes, provided that the artist's name and artwork title are credited.
