  • Agreement of Participation

    These guidelines serve to prepare participants for immersion into a sacred container of ceremonial initiation and retreat, establishing a framework which promotes a safe and streamlined experience for all involved. These guidelines are assembled from many years of experience, and it is important that all participants follow them.

  • Attendance

    I commit to staying on the grounds in a calm, present, meditative, and service-oriented manner, paying attention to the instructions and following them to the best of my ability, asking questions when needed. If I need to leave the grounds at any time before the retreat ends (in case of an emergency), I will inform the retreat organizer (Mariposa).

  • Diet & Substances

    We will follow a special diet with no salt, sugar, processed foods, dairy or meats during the Sentada. Substances such as alcohol, marijuana, psychedelics and other mood/mind altering substances are prohibited during the Sentada.

  • Volunteer

    During the Sentada we all have the opportunity to take turns volunteering to assist in the kitchen and to take care of the sacred fire.

  • Release of Liability

    Mariposa and her retreat organizers and hosts are not liable for the injury of any guest that may occur during or after a service. I understand that alcohol and illicit drugs are strictly prohibited at the retreat facilities. Mariposa, her retreat organizers and hosts are not responsible for any personal property of the participants of the retreat. By signing below, I attest that I have read and understood all of the above, and have disclosed all requested health and medical facts. I attest that the information provided is true and complete, to the best of my knowledge. I understand that falsifying or omitting any relevant information may be grounds for denying my attendance at the retreat for which I am applying, with or without a refund, at the sole discretion of Mariposa, her retreat organizers and hosts.

I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
