LMSA National Distinguished Scholar Award
The LMSA National Scholarship was established in 2009 to help alleviate the financial burdens associated with pursuing a medical education. Medical students face significant expenses throughout their training, including tuition, housing, educational materials, standardized examinations, travel, and residency application costs. Through this scholarship, LMSA National reaffirms its commitment to supporting the next generation of physician leaders dedicated to advancing health equity and serving underserved communities.
Applications will be evaluated holistically, with consideration given to financial need, academic achievement, leadership, service, personal qualities, and contributions to the mission of LMSA.
This year, LMSA National will award five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each to medical students who exemplify the values, leadership, and commitment to service that LMSA seeks to cultivate.
