Respect for the Aged Day (Keiro no Hi) is a National Holiday in Japan, held each year in September. In keeping with this custom and tradition, the United Japanese Society of Hawaii (UJSH) is planning to celebrate the longevity of our kupuna, to encourage living healthy and fulfilling lives and to promote understanding of senior welfare issues in our community. UJSH is extending an invitation to our community members to please join us in honoring our senior citizens who are celebrating their 80th (born 1946), 88th (born 1938) , and 90th (born 1936) birthdays in 2026 at our legacy event.
