    STAIR Fall 2026 Tutoring Program

  • STAIR is a one-on-one literacy tutoring program for 2nd and 3rd graders in the Greater New Orleans area. STAIR offers both virtual and in-person tutoring once a week for 10 weeks.

  • Currently we only offer in-person tutoring at the above listed schools. We offer virtual for students at most schools in the Greater New Orleans area.

  • Students Availability

    The STAIR program offers VIRTUAL tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30p.m - 6:30p.m. and IN-PERSON tutoring at select schools on Tuesdays, and Thursdays directly afterschool. Please provide your child's availability for weekly tutoring sessions (one hour a week, 10 weeks). If you select virtual tutoring, you must pick up your tutoring materials from the STAIR office located in uptown New Orleans.

    STAIR is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations and grants to provide our services for free to students and their families. Please fill out the following questions to help us apply for funding. The information provided will remain confidential and will not impact student enrollment.

I also give permission to STAIR and its partners to publish work done by my child while at STAIR as long as the work has no name or only a first name.   • STAIR Tutoring Requirement Policy: FOR VIRTUAL TUTORING - I understand that a family member 18 years or older needs to be present in the home when my child is participating in one-on-one virtual tutoring. The family member will not participate in tutoring, but they will be available to assist the STAIR tutor and child if anything is needed.*
