About Start School Strong
Start School Strong is United Way of Hunterdon County’s annual initiative dedicated to ensuring every child has the resources they need to succeed in school. Through partnerships with local schools, businesses, community organizations, and generous donors, we help students access essential school supplies, health and wellness resources, school meal assistance, and other supports that contribute to a successful school year. In 2025, Start School Strong helped more than 700 Hunterdon County families prepare for the school year.
How You Can Help
Donations of new school supplies, backpacks, and financial contributions help us provide students with the grade-specific materials they need to learn and thrive. Working closely with our school partners, we identify the most-needed items and distribute them directly to local children and families.
