Members will enjoy a fully supported day out in small groups, with staff on hand to provide reassurance, assistance and companionship as needed. The cost also helps cover essential expenses such as transport, staffing, fuel, safety equipment and event organisation, allowing us to provide a safe, enjoyable and high-quality experience for everyone attending.

This option is available for members who will be attending with a family member, friend or carer who is able to provide their care and support throughout the day.

Please note that this ticket does not include transport or supervision from Dementia Active staff and volunteers. The accompanying family member or carer must remain with the member for the duration of the visit and be responsible for meeting any care, mobility, personal care, medication and support needs that may arise during the day.

This option is ideal for families who would like to enjoy the day out together while still being part of the wider Dementia Active group experience.

Transport
Transport to and from Cotswold Wildlife Park will be provided by Dementia Active using our minibuses and volunteer drivers.

Where families are able to do so, we encourage drop-off and collection at their nearest Dementia Active centre to help keep journey times shorter and reduce travel fatigue for everyone attending.

Transport can be purchased in addition to a Dementia Active Admission, Lunch & Care Ticket. Members attending on the £15 Admission & Lunch Ticket are expected to travel with their accompanying family member or carer.
To help keep journey times as short and comfortable as possible, members should be dropped off and collected from their nearest Dementia Active centre (Banbury, Launton, Chipping Norton or Carterton). From these centres, Dementia Active will provide transport to and from Cotswold Wildlife Park.

We understand that this may not be possible for everyone. In exceptional circumstances, where families are unable to transport their loved one to a Dementia Active centre, we can arrange door-to-door collection and return. If you require this service, please call us on 01869 713913. Thank you.
Important Information

The safety and wellbeing of our members is our highest priority.

To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, Dementia Active reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if, following discussion with family and/or carer, we believe the individual's mobility, health, behaviour or support needs mean that the trip cannot be undertaken safely for themselves, other members, or our staff and volunteers.

Dementia Active also reserves the right to make changes to, postpone or cancel the trip due to circumstances beyond our control. Should the charity cancel the trip, a full refund will be provided.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

As a small charity, we begin committing funds to transport, staffing, catering and other arrangements well in advance of the trip. For this reason, we are unable to guarantee refunds for cancellations.

If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the notice given and any costs already incurred by the charity.
