Tilth Alliance Volunteer Day

 

Join Sound Generations for a volunteer day at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands. This 8-acre urban farm is home to our East African Senior Center, where older adults gather for community dining, fitness, and more. It's a special place and we need your help to keep it thriving.

Volunteers will assist with weeding, preparing garden beds, spreading mulch, and caring for natural areas, all while older adults enjoy their afternoon programs nearby.

 

What to Bring:

• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A water bottle (we have water onsite for refills)
• Gloves and tools will be provided

When:  Saturday August 15, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Limited parking is available on the farm. Additional street parking can be found at Beer Sheva Park or the Atlantic City Boat Ramp lot south of the farm, with an approximately 0.3 mile walk through Beer Sheva park to the farm.

 When you arrive, please check in at the volunteer welcome station at the green house near the main parking area (look for signage).
