  • New Beginnings is grateful for the opportunity to provide biblical counseling to both members of our church and those outside our church family. Before beginning the counseling process, please carefully read the following information and agree to these terms.

    • Counseling appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to New Beginnings church members. Once this Biblical Counseling Inquiry Form has been completed and submitted, you will be assigned to the next available counselor. After a counselor has been assigned, you will receive the New Beginnings Counseling Center: Intake Packet, which must be completed before your first appointment. 
    • Your counselor has been trained and certified in biblical counseling through the Association of Biblical Counselors and New Beginnings. Biblical counselors are NOT a psychologist, psychiatrist, professional counselor, therapist, or licensed social worker. Their goal is to minister the God’s Word and help you apply biblical truth to your specific situation.
    • Counseling sessions will be conducted according to the counselor’s understanding of Scripture. The Bible will serve as the final authority for all counsel, guidance, and direction provided throughout the counseling process.
    • Counselors do not provide legal or medical advice. When necessary, we will gladly recommend that you seek assistance from qualified professionals in those fields.
    • Information shared during counseling will be treated with care and confidentiality to the fullest extent allowed by Scripture and the law. However, there are situations in which a counselor may be required to share information with church leadership or civil authorities, particularly when required by law or when safety concerns are involved.
    • Counseling is offered free of charge as a ministry of New Beginnings. However, donations are appreciated to help offset the cost of books, materials, administrative expenses, and care for those unable to contribute financially. A suggested minimum donation is $20 per session, though financial giving is NEVER required in order to receive counseling. Checks should be made payable to “New Beginnings” with “Counseling” written in the memo line. Please do not make checks payable directly to your counselor.

  • Because you do not agree to the counseling guidelines and do not consent to receive counseling from one of our biblical counselors, we encourage you to seek other avenues for counseling.
