    Before We Schedule a Conversation

Thank you for taking the time to share more about your financial life, your goals, and what you are hoping to accomplish. The questions you just answered help us understand whether Eight Oaks Financial may be a good fit for the kind of planning and investment relationship you are looking for.

Eight Oaks is generally best suited for individuals and families with approximately $1 million or more in investable assets, though we review each situation individually. In some cases, we may also work with clients through our financial planning offering.

    How We Work

Eight Oaks Financial provides financial planning and investment management specific to each client's situation. Our work is built around understanding your broader financial picture, helping you organize the moving parts, and making thoughtful decisions as life, markets, tax considerations, family needs, and business priorities change.

For fee-based advisory relationships, we take on a fiduciary responsibility when providing advisory services. In plain English, that means the advisory relationship is built around trust, transparency, and putting the client's interests first.

Who We Are Usually a Fit For

    • Want an ongoing planning and investment relationship.
    • Value direct, practical guidance from an experienced advisory team.
    • Prefer a clear process and regular progress meetings.
    • Want help coordinating with certified public accountants, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other advisors.
    • Are comfortable sharing the details needed for thoughtful advice.

We are generally not designed for one-time stock picks, short-term market timing, or product-only transactions. Our work is built around understanding the broader financial picture.

    Our Process

Introductory Conversation: We identify your goals, priorities, concerns, and expectations. We also determine whether an ongoing partnership makes sense.

Fact Finding: We take a deeper look at the financial details so we can understand the full picture.

Recommendations: We present initial recommendations and a roadmap designed around your goals.

Mutual Decision: If both sides agree there is a good fit, we decide how to move forward.

Ongoing Progress Meetings: We continue to meet regularly to review your plan, investment performance, goals, insurance needs, and any changes in your life.

In the first year, it is common to meet more often. After that, many clients are comfortable with semi-annual progress meetings, with additional meetings as needed.

    Fees and Minimums

Fees are discussed before any engagement begins. Our advisory fee is based on the assets Eight Oaks Financial manages for you through LPL Financial. We use a tiered fee schedule, which means the percentage fee decreases as the assets we manage increase.

Assets in Tier Annual Advisory Fee
    First $500,000 1.25%
    Next $500,000 1.00%
    Next $1,000,000 0.85%
    Next $3,000,000 0.65%
    Next $5,000,000 0.45%
    Next $10,000,000 0.40%

Financial planning may be included at no additional charge for clients who meet our fee-based advisory relationship minimums. In situations where we provide financial planning separately, planning fees are discussed before any engagement begins. Any account-level expenses, investment manager fees, product expenses, or other applicable costs will be explained before you sign agreements or move forward.
