Our carefully curated vendor lineup is intentionally limited to ensure strong visibility, steady traffic, and meaningful sales opportunities for every participating brand.

If a space becomes available, vendors on our waitlist will be contacted in the order their requests are received. Joining the waitlist also gives you priority consideration for future opportunities with The BIG Plant Expo and The BIG Plant Market.

Licensing, Compliance, and Ethical Sourcing Requirements | Vendor Waitlist 2027

The following requirements apply only if a vendor space becomes available and you are invited to participate. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance.

Licenses and Permits
If selected, vendors are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, permits, and certifications required to operate in South Carolina and the City of North Charleston. This may include business, retail, tax, nursery, dealer, or other applicable licenses.

Plant Vendor Licensing
All plant vendors must hold a valid nursery or dealer license issued by the appropriate agency. Vendors may be required to provide a Clemson Department of Plant Industry Nursery or Dealer Certificate and licensing documentation from their home state. If your state does not require this license, official documentation confirming that exemption must be provided.

Legal and Ethical Sourcing
All plants and plant materials must be legally obtained, nursery grown, and ethically sourced. Wild collected, habitat harvested, or poached plants are strictly prohibited.

Documentation
If requested, vendors must provide proof of legal sourcing, including nursery records, import documents, permits, or CITES documentation.

Prohibited Items
Vendors may not sell or display:

Wild collected, habitat harvested, or poached plants
Smuggled or undocumented imports
Plants containing pests or disease
Prohibited or restricted plant species
Soil imported from outside the United States
Taxes and Compliance
Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting all applicable sales taxes and complying with all local, state, and federal laws. SE Rare Plant Market, LLP and The BIG Plant Expo are not responsible for vendor licensing, permits, taxes, inspections, or regulatory compliance.

Event Rights
The BIG Plant Expo reserves the right to inspect booth materials, request documentation, refuse questionable plants or products, and require the immediate removal of prohibited items. Confirmed vendors may be removed from the event without a refund for violations.

Acknowledgment
Submitting this waitlist form does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a vendor space. If selected, all required licenses and documentation must be submitted by the deadline provided before participation is confirmed.

Tissue Culture Policy (Waitlist Acknowledgment)If selected from the vendor waitlist, I understand that tissue culture plants in flasks, bagged, or not acclimated may be limited. To ensure a positive guest experience, unacclimated tissue culture plants may not exceed 10% of total inventory, should I be accepted as a vendor.

Vendor Category Information (Waitlist Purpose Only)This information is collected to help us curate a balanced and diverse vendor lineup should a space become available. Selection from the waitlist is based on overall event needs and category availability.We strive to limit the number of vendors offering identical plant types or products to maintain variety. At this time, we are not accepting service-based vendors (including but not limited to window, roofing, gutters, or home improvement services).Plant vendors are not considered niche vendors. There will be no outside food or beverage vendors for the 2026 event.Please select all categories that may apply to your business. Selection does not guarantee placement.

Waitlist Communication
Waitlist vendors will be contacted only if a suitable space becomes available. Due to the volume of submissions, individual waitlist status updates will not be provided. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance or a vendor space.

Waitlist Selection and Offer Process

The BIG Plant Expo will be held April 24 and 25, 2027, at the Charleston Convention Center in Hall C.

Openings will be matched according to vendor category, products offered, available booth size, and the needs of the event. Booth preferences cannot be guaranteed.

If offered a space, the vendor must confirm and submit payment by the deadline included in the offer. Unclaimed spaces may be offered to another waitlisted vendor. Event setup details and requirements will be provided after confirmation.

I understand that this submission is a request to join the Vendor Waitlist and does not confirm participation. If offered a space, I may be required to complete additional agreements, provide documentation, and submit payment before participation is confirmed. I consent to receiving email or telephone communications regarding waitlist availability and relevant vendor opportunities from The BIG Plant Expo and The BIG Plant Market.
