    Executive Committee Vacancy: Treasurer

  • The Multicultural Voices Australia Executive Committee is seeking Expressions of Interest from nominated delegates of Program Representative Members to fill a vacancy on the Executive Committee and to undertake the office of Treasurer.

    Please submit the below Expression of Interest form.

    Appointment

    In accordance with Rule 14.2 of the Constitution, the Executive Committee (Board) may appoint an eligible nominated delegate of a paid Program Representative Member to fill a casual vacancy on the Board.

    Office of Treasurer

    Following appointment to the Executive Committee, the Board will elect one of its members to the office of Treasurer in accordance with Rule 10.2 of the Constitution.

    Term of Office

    The appointment will continue until the next Annual General Meeting, at which time the position will be declared vacant in accordance with Rule 14.2 of the Constitution.

    Transitional Arrangements

    Multicultural Voices Australia is currently transitioning from an Incorporated Association to a Company Limited by Guarantee. If this transition is completed prior to the next Annual General Meeting, Executive Committee Members will transition to the Board of Directors under the new Constitution and continue their current term of office.

  • The Treasurer is expected to:

    • Review and interpret financial reports
    • Work with management to support sound financial governance
    • Assist the Executive Committee to understand financial risks and opportunities
    • Contribute to budget oversight and long-term sustainability
    • Chair the Audit & Finance Committee
