    TERM THREE:

    SCENEWORK & MONOLOGUES

We began as a small, agile school focused on elite training for exceptional young artists. We believe the rehearsal room and conservatory is a sacred place where actors find themselves – well before the light of the stage. Now, after a year of Audition Prep, Dialect and Voice training, Comedy and Voiceover, The Actors Division is going back it it's roots.

Term 3 will focus on scenework and monologues from great plays of the 20th century, and bold new work from international stages. Under the direction of TAD founder Josh Anderson, technical skill and truthful characterisation will be the bedrock of Term 3's training programme.

Sunday classes will be capped strictly at 8 students per session, meaning that scenes and actors will be worked rigourously.

There will be 2 Senior classes, one in the morning and the afternoon. Our combined Juniors class will also be capped at 8 students.

  • Your Schedule

We understand many students already have a very full schedule with after school and weekend dance, sport and music committments. We also concede that sometimes life just gets in the way! Even so, if you think your actor will miss more than 3 classes in the term – consider giving Sundays a miss.

Our actors are expected to work at a high level, so respecting the time of our fellow actors is paramount. Josh or Claudia are happy to accomodate you for private or duet sessions with another actor during the week if you are unable to meet this 70% attendance requirement.

Please list the activities or events that may impact your commitment to this term, and we can have a discussion about next steps.
