• Call for Class Proposals 2026-27

  • Laasok invites rabbis, cantors, and teachers of Judaism to propose Zoom classes for the 2026-27 year.

We are seeking classes that are...

    • Interactive
    • Rooted in Jewish texts (widely construed: ancient, rabbinic, medieval, or modern)
    • Reflecting a liberal Jewish perspective
    • 60 minutes long

Our participants are intellectually curious learners across North America (and beyond) who are eager to explore Jewish texts and ideas in ways that are thoughtful, accessible, and relevant to modern life.

  • Proposals should fit one of these categories:

    1. Social Justice in our Texts: Jewish perspectives on justice, human rights, inclusion, and creating a better society.
    2. Jewish Holidays 2.0: Fresh, meaningful, and creative aproaches to Jewish holidays.
    3. The Class I Really Want to Teach: A unique topic you're excited to share!

About Laasok: Laasok is a dynamic, liberal Beit Midrash ("house of study") where learners engage meaningfully with Jewish texts, ideas, and community. Our mission is to empower liberal Jews to own their Judaism through study.
