            Pastors and Vocational Ministry Leaders

            Vocational ministry leaders are individuals serving in a formal, ongoing ministry role within a CBOQ church, CBOQ-related ministry, or recognized ministry setting. This may include chaplains, missionaries, ministry directors, and those serving in non-traditional pastoral or spiritual-care roles.

            This category does not include volunteer lay leaders such as deacons, elders, committee members, or other unpaid volunteers, unless they also serve in a qualifying formal minstry role.

          • Retreat Overview 

            Pastoral ministry can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be demanding and isolating. The CBOQ Pastors' Retreat is an intentional opportunity for pastors to step away from the rhythms of ministry, rest in God's presence, care for their souls, and reconnect with colleagues. Through worship, teaching, spiritual practices, prayer, communion, conversation, and generous periods of unstructured rest, participants will be encouraged to return home refreshed, renewed, and better equipped for the minstry entrusted to them. 

            Retreat Speaker: Dr. David Sherbino

            Dr. David Sherbino has served on the faculty of Tyndale Seminary since 1987 and currently coordinates its master's and doctoral programs in Spiritual Formation. An experienced pastor, educator, author, speaker, and church consultant, David has served congregations across Canada and taught at theological schools internationally. His books include Re:Connect: Spiritual Exercises to Develop Intimacy with God, and Renew: A Basic Guide for a Personal Retreat.
