What is Art Walk?

The Dawson Creek Art Gallery has partnered with local art councils to organize many pop-up art exhibitions in Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Fort St John, and Hudson's Hope. Selected artists are invited to submit up to five pieces of their work and will be displayed within a business in the Peace Region to showcase and celebrate the collaboration between local artists, businesses, and community members. A map will be provided for each community showcasing the businesses and which artist they are featuring in their space. The community will be stopping at local gems to discover incredible artwork created by artists in the region.

By checking this box you are hereby relinquishing the South Peace Art Society formally known as the Dawson Creek Art Gallery of any responsibility to pieces submitted to Art Walk - specifically damage or theft to the pieces.

Please note that the South Peace Art Society has the right to refuse participation due to the following but not limited to reasons: improper hanging materials, disrespectful/ discriminatory artwork, abusive, offensive or foul language towards gallery staff, and any behaviour deemed inappropriate as outlined in our code of conduct.

Please note that participants must be available to hang/ display their work on the agreed upon appointment time as staff will not be responsible for hanging or displaying pieces independently unless approved by the Executive Director.

Participants will be responsible for ensuring that their pieces are properly framed and/ or have appropriate hanging materials ready prior to their appointment date. Please note, any pieces not ready to by hung on the artists assigned date will be politely declined.
