TM BBQ Fest 2026 "Local Happenings" Submission Form

Texas Monthly invites Lockhart businesses to join in the fun for Saturday's BBQ Fest event—the BBQ World's Fair! Participate by offering a BBQ-themed menu item, product, festive activities, or special pricing at your location. "Local Happenings" will be added to the official festival map and promoted before and during the event. Downtown businesses are encouraged to extend their "happening" from Friday-Sunday as many guests will remain in town for the entire weekend. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS August 15, 2026. This year, we are planning to organize a scavenger hunt around downtown Lockhart on Fridat Friday (BBQ Fest Eve). Visitors will go around to local businesses to find clues that ultimately reveal a secret message. Those who complete the scavenger hunt will be elligible to win prizes—like VIP tickets to BBQ Fest.
