The Parkland Community Library's teen volunteer program provides much-needed support and development for the library and participating teens alike. Teens may assist with various tasks to help library staff, including shelving/sorting books, providing extra hands for library programs, or performing creative tasks like zine-making or social media content creation.

By participating in our program, teens will build vital skills such as communication, organization, and teamwork. Our teen volunteer program will enable you to support the library community and gain experience in a professional setting. Participants may use their volunteer experience here for resumes, college applications, and other related purposes. All current and former teen volunteers are eligible for our Friends of the Library scholarship in their senior year of high school.

Complete this application to become a teen volunteer. Once your application is received, the teen services coordinator will contact you for the next steps. Applications are on a rolling basis. We try to respond to all applications in a timely manner, but please allow at least 5 business days before a follow-up.
