The Village of Franklinville is working hard to revitalize our business district, and we need your voice. Over the years, several businesses have come and gone for one reason or another, and—like many rural communities—we face real challenges: online shopping, big‑box competition, high operating costs, aging buildings, and changing consumer habits.
This survey came directly from our residents. A local business owner from Park Square Market and another entrepreneur who owns several Park Square properties attended a Board meeting and asked how we could gather honest feedback from the community. Mayor Schumaker and the Board agreed it was a great idea, so this survey was created to hear from you.
Local government can recruit businesses, improve infrastructure, and support entrepreneurs—but we can only do so much. The long‑term success of any new business depends on the community actually using and supporting it. That’s why your input matters.
