The MAFE Hall of Fame program was created to recognize the service(s) rendered to fairs, festivals and our industry by individual(s) who have devoted their time and talents. These individuals will have not only worked locally, but on a regional, statewide, or national level to promote and insure the future of all events in Michigan.
Recognition will take place during the annual MAFE Convention Hall of Fame Luncheon on Friday, January 8, 2027. Those recognized will be featured in a publication that will be updated each year with the new inductee(s) added.
Eligibility:
- The Individual(s) shall have been involved with the industry for a minimum of twenty (20)years. An individual who is not selected the first time that he/she is nominated is eligible for nomination in future years for future consideration for selection.
- The individual may be living or deceased.
- The individual(s) shall have been an involved with a MAFE Regular, Associate or Festival per Article II of the MAFE Bylaws either as a paid employee or as a volunteer with their organization or have served with a county or state agency that has direct involvement with the MAFE Membership and its promotion of Agriculture and Youth.
Application Process:
- Nominations must be submitted by November 2, 2026 via Jotform by a MAFE Regular, Associate, Festival member in good standing, or Past Hall of Fame Winner.
- Nomination will consist of:
- Official nomination form below including a 50 word or less paragraph of why this person should receive the Hall of Fame Award (may be used for award script at convention)
- Resume
- Supporting documents such as news articles, cover letter, letters of recommendation, etc.
- A quality head/shoulders photo
