The D. Scott Grant Memorial Scholarship was established by Scotty D Charities to honor the life, service, and legacy of D. Scott Grant. This annual $1,000 scholarship recognizes a graduating high school senior who demonstrates a strong commitment to community service, leadership, and a desire to pursue a career within the criminal justice field. D. Scott Grant believed in the importance of serving others, strengthening communities, and making a positive difference through integrity, compassion, and civic responsibility. This scholarship seeks to support students who share those values and are committed to improving the lives of others through careers in law enforcement, corrections, criminal justice, public safety, legal studies, forensic science, or related fields. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated meaningful involvement in volunteerism, community engagement, and service-oriented activities while maintaining a clear interest in pursuing higher education and a future within the criminal justice system.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must submit:
A completed scholarship application.
Verification of a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA signed by a school representative.
One letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, school administrator, employer, coach, or community leader.
Documentation verifying at least 60 volunteer service hours.
An essay (500–1,000 words) addressing:
What inspired your commitment to community service.
Your educational and career goals.
Why you are interested in the criminal justice field.
How you hope to positively impact your community through your future career.
