• Wildscreen Festival 2026: Bursary Application Form

  • Thank you for taking the time to apply for a Wildscreen Festival 2026 Bursary. Bursaries of varying levels of support are available for individuals based anywhere in the world. Please read the eligibility criteria on the next page of this form carefully ahead of applying to ensure that you are eligible to do so. The terms and conditions are outlined below. 

    Applications close at 12pm, Monday 13th July 2026. Successful applicants will be notified in early August. 
     
    Both fully funded and part-funded in-person bursaries are available for Wildscreen Festival 2026. The level of bursary support provided to each individual will be decided at Wildscreen's discretion. Fully funded, in-person bursaries include;

    •  An in-person ticket to Wildscreen Festival 2026
    • Travel to and from Wildscreen Festival 2026
    • Accommodation for the entirety of the Festival (19 – 22 October 2026 inclusive) 
    • Per diem allowance 
    • 1 year NatureStory Pro Membership 
       
  • The Serious Stuff 
    The successful recipients will receive all or some of the following dependent on the type of bursary they are awarded at Wildscreen's discretion (i) a full hybrid pass for Wildscreen Festival 2026 (ii) Hotel/B&B accommodation in Bath at an establishment of Wildscreen’s choosing for the duration of the Festival (maximum 4 nights) (iii) one return economy flight (including taxes) from their regional airport (or alternative as agreed with Wildscreen) to London or Bristol (where possible, other modes of transport will be prioritised if available/accessible) (iv) Airport transfers to and from your accomodation (v) a daily per diem for food expenses (vi) 1 year NatureStory Pro Membership  
     

  • Eligibility

    To be eligible to apply for a bursary you must; 

    • Have had at least 12 months of experience within the wildlife filmmaking industry (paid or unpaid)  
    • Have no criminal record and have not previously been convicted of a criminal offense. 
    • Possess a good level of understanding of the English language as all Festival content is delivered in English. 
    • Be able to attend the Wildscreen Festival Kenya from 19-22 October 2026 inclusive. Please do not apply if you are not able to attend these dates. 
    • Hold a current passport and/or visa for travel and entry to the UK valid for the duration of the Festival if you are based outside of the UK. Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas. 
    • Be able to prove that the work presented is your own. 
    • Not have attended the Wildscreen Festival (Bristol) previously as a delegate or received an in-person Wildscreen Bursary for WSF Bristol previously. 
    • Be aged 18 or over 


    Applicants do not need a university degree or to have held a paid role previously within the industry in order to apply for this bursary, but a passion to pursue a career in natural world storytelling is essential!

  • Bursary recipients must be available for the entire duration of the Festival (19th - 22nd of October 2026). Can you confirm that you are available for these dates?*

  • Unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply for a bursary to attend Wildscreen Festival Kenya 2026.

    To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

    • Have had at least 12 months of experience within the wildlife filmmaking industry (paid or unpaid)
    • Have no criminal record and have not previously been convicted of a criminal offense.
    • Possess a good level of understanding of the English language as all Festival content is delivered in English.
    • Be able to attend the Wildscreen Festival Kenya from 11-12 June 2026 inclusive. Please do not apply if you are not able to attend these dates.
    • Hold a current passport and/or visa for travel and entry to Kenya valid for the duration of the Festival if you are based outside of Kenya. Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas.
    • Be able to prove that the work presented is your own.
    • Not have attended the Wildscreen Festival (Bristol) previously as a delegate or received an in-person Wildscreen Bursary for WSF Bristol previously.
      Be aged 18 or over
