The Saskatchewan Craft Council is seeking professional members to apply to our Mentorship Program!
This opportunity is only open to current SCC members and is free of charge. The program runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026.
If a selected mentee is not already a member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council, they will need to become one. Annual memberships have an fee of $65 to $125 depending on membership type. Learn More.
The Saskatchewan Craft Council invites applications from makers, craftspeople, and visual artists seeking professional development through mentorship. Whether you are launching a creative business, expanding your market presence, developing wholesale opportunities, building an online store, or looking to strengthen your artistic business, this program provides access to experienced mentors who can help you achieve your goals. The SCC Mentorship Professional Development Program supports craftspeople, makers, and visual artists working together to share skills, knowledge, and experience. The mentorship direction is led by the mentee's goals. Participants are matched with established professionals who provide guidance, feedback, training, and support through a series of mentorship sessions.
Areas of mentorship may include:
- Wholesale and retail sales, in both physical shops, galleries, and online
- Marketing and promotion for artists and makers
- Consignment and wholesale agreements, pricing, and merchandising
- Exporting and shipping products
- Grant writing and professional applications
- The use of social media and website development
